Although, HTC maintains that it will not be manufacturing a ?Nexus Edition? for its current flagship phone, one of the more reliable providers of HTC leaks stated recently that a summer release for the HTC One Nexus Edition may be possible.
Still trying to make up for his conflicting leaks on the purported Verizon HTC One, @LlabTooFer, an HTC developer and insider, claimed a few days ago that HTC may be releasing a variant of the One with vanilla Android onboard and no Sense 5 user interface baked in, with a possible summer release date.
He added, however, that this is not official information, meaning that it may not be straight from HTC like many of his other leaks were in the past. As such, we?re not too sold on the veracity of this new tweet from @LlabTooFeR, though it will definitely be interesting if the HTC One is released one day as a pure Android device.
Still, there?s a solid chance that the rumor might be proven correct in time, as @LlabTooFeR is still respected as one of the most accurate HTC leaksters in the online community. As he specified the HTC One Google Edition (or Nexus Edition) by name, that could mean something in the months to come.

Currently, the only Nexus Edition set for an eventual release is the Samsung Galaxy S4 Nexus Edition, which was announced last week at the Google I/O conference and scheduled for a June 26 release date in Google Play. The Galaxy S4 Nexus Edition will cost $649 unlocked and will come with 16 GB internal memory.
